Committee Statement

The committee would like to acknowledge that mistakes have been made this season regarding the doubles competition. The circumstances surrounding these cases were unprecedented and we would like to reassure everyone that each decision was discussed in depth made with the best intentions. The feedback we’ve subsequently received has brought to light weak spots in both the written league constitution and the committee’s role in making such decisions in the future. This will be addressed in full at the 2024 AGM.

Scott Wightman and Riley James’ decision to give away the title is a gesture to Amit Pattni who was unable to continue playing in the tournament due to illness. We wish Amit all the best.
